Registration for Children’s Programs

The following programs require registration. Read our newsletter for more great offerings that you can simply drop-in!

WEEKLY PROGRAMS (January 28-April 12, except February 19-23):

TODDLERTIME:  Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 9:30 or 10:30  A 45-minute program for children up to 36 months with an adult. We offer educational toys during free play; then books, songs, puppets, and fingerplays during a short storytime! Caregivers should plan to make other arrangements for older siblings. Register once for the entire session. We offer a program for ages 3 & up, called “On My Own,” at the same time as Toddlertime. REGISTER HERE

ON MY OWN:  Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 9:30 or 10:30 A 30-minute program for children ages 3 years & older who are ready to attend “On My Own.” Stories, songs, flannelboards and fingerplays will be featured. Register once for the entire session. Children who have siblings in the Toddlertime program (and are registered for that program) will be brought in to join his/her family there. REGISTER HERE

PAWS TO READ: Mondays at 4:00  Gentle therapy dogs will patiently listen to children read aloud. Kids in first grade & older may schedule a ten-minute time slot. Register for each week individually. It’s a great way for new readers to practice their skills! REGISTER HERE FOR THE FIRST MONDAY

CREATE WITH MS. CHRIS: Tuesdays at 4:00 Express your creativity! Each week you will use your creative mind to make a new masterpiece. Various media will be used. Register once for the entire session. For kids in 2nd-4th grades. REGISTER HERE

FULL STEAM AHEAD: Wednesdays at 4:00 Sign up for ten weeks of hands-on STEAM experiments! (STEAM stands for Science Technology Art and Math.) Plus, exciting stories, crafts, games, and snacks! Register once for the entire session. For kids in 1st-4th grades. REGISTER HERE


MAD SCIENCE SLIME TIME:  Tuesday, February 19 at 2:00PM Create slime using the Mad Science recipe and then enter the Slime Olympics.  You’ll get to take home your concoction to keep! For youth in grades 1st-4th.  REGISTER HERE

MARY POPPINS MOVIE:  Wednesday, February 20 at 6:00PM She’s back! The magical nanny Mary Poppins returns to the theaters, so what  better time to enjoy the original film! Bring the family for a musical, magical evening! We’ll have half an hour of “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” crafts and activities to start.  Rated G. 139 minutes. REGISTER HERE

PRESCHOOL PANCAKES & STORIES:  Thursday, February 21 at 10:00AM Pile your plate with piping hot pancakes while you enjoy stories, songs, and lots of laughs! Scrumptious storytime fun for children up to age 6 years with an adult.  REGISTER HERE

FAMILY FORT NIGHT: Friday, March 1 from 5:30-7:30PM  Building forts out of household materials is a timeless family activity.  Join us for an evening of fort building amongst the stacks! Kids will use problem-solving, spatial, and critical thinking skills while having a blast! Be sure to bring your own blankets, sheets, or pillows, and most importantly, your flashlights! We’ll have snacks, stories, and games to play.  For families with kids ages 5 & up. REGISTER HERE
