Find New Friends and Fun at the Library with Meetup

Have you heard about Meetup? It’s an app designed to help groups organize in-person get-togethers around shared interests and hobbies. Thanks to a grant from our Friends group, you can now find the Library on Meetup! While our library calendar will always be the go-to spot to see and sign up for all our events and classes, you will find our growing roster of crafts and other interactive, social, and hobby-related activities also listed on Meetup, along with forums and special mailing lists to help you stay in touch with the new friends you make at these events! We look forward to interacting with you in this new venue, and helping you make new connections.

Streamlining the Library Layout

The next time you visit, you will notice the new layout of a few areas. We hope you will find our collections, Gallery area, and Book Sale more accessible, tidier, and easier to use.

The Children’s Book Sale is now in the Gallery area outside the Stedman Room.

Adult New Books and Audiobooks have been shifted from a freestanding shelving unit to the first shelf of our main stacks. New Nonfiction is on the back of this shelf.

All other fiction has shifted back. Signage has been posted to help you.

A new vending machine is closer to the main entrance. The front Information Desk has been removed temporarily. When the library renovations are completed, Access Services will be located in the front of the building to serve you better.
