If you have difficulty getting to the library due to loss of vision or other disability, you may be eligible to receive large print books or audiobooks on CD by mail at no cost to you.
Details
- Service is available to residents of the Town of Colonie. If you reside elsewhere in Albany or Rensselaer Counties, you can register with the Upper Hudson Library System, instead. Note: their rules may differ.
- You must register for the service before requesting books
- Up to three large print books or CD audiobooks may be mailed at a time.
- Books will be checked out to your library card before they are mailed to you. When you are ready to return them, flip the mailing label in the bag’s window and put it with your outgoing mail. Be sure to mail the items back a week before the due date.
- To request additional titles after you have registered, you can include your request when returning your books, call us at 518-458-9274, option 4 or use the form below.
