Museum Passes

Passes to many of the best cultural institutions in the area are generously supported by the Friends of the Library. Digital and physical passes are available to Colonie residents. Physical passes are also available to Upper Hudson Library System cardholders.

Please note — Museum reservations, hours and current exhibit information may change seasonally. Check museum websites for the most up-to-date information. Unless otherwise stated, passes do not provide discounts for museum store purchases or parking, nor do they cover special exhibit fees. Some museums may require you to show your library card with your pass when you arrive.

All Digital Passes

• May be borrowed for one day by any Colonie resident cardholder
• Passes may be reserved up to 30 days in advance
• Pass may be printed at home or at the Colonie Library free of charge
• Passes are only valid for one use on the day they are reserved for
• Passes do not need to be returned

In most cases, there is just 1 pass per museum. When a pass is reserved it becomes unavailable to others. Pass reservations cannot be cancelled.

Physical Passes

• May be borrowed for three days by any cardholder residing in the Upper Hudson Library System.
• Passes are first-come, first-served; there are no requests or renewals.
• Return passes only to Colonie Library.
• Overdue fees for physical passes are $5 a day.
