The library has several volunteer opportunities for teens in grades 6 to 12:
Junior Teen Advisory Group (gr. 6-8) and Teen Advisory Group (gr. 9-12): These groups meet during the school year (JTAG: every other month; TAG: monthly) to brainstorm future library programs and services, and discuss how to help the library and community. Grades 9 to 12 also help out with our library programs for all ages. Registration is typically open from August to October.
Teen Volunteer Events (gr. 6-12): Help your library and community with hands-on activities, including cleaning, crafting, and more. Registration begins two weeks ahead of each event.
Summer Book Reviewers (gr. 9-12): Write book reviews for volunteer credit. Registration is typically in mid-June.
Junior Teen Summer Volunteering Program (gr. 6-8): Help with craft prep, toy cleaning, straightening books, etc. Registration is typically in early May.
Teen Summer Volunteering Program (gr. 9-12): Work the Summer Reading Desk, help with different events for kids and adults, and more. Registration is typically in early May.
Check our calendar for detailed information about these opportunities and to register. Registration is required for all volunteer opportunities.
